Hiren Maniar
Post-Doc Fellow

Hiren's transition into Neuroscience follows several years of research dedicated to computational wave hydrodynamics: wave/body interactions, trapping of water/acoustic waves, wave-induced dynamics on structures in porous media, and vortex-induced vibrations.

As a Research Scientist with Chevron, he provided technical advice and solved problems encountered by the company's offshore structures. After earning his Ph.D. in Hydrodynamics from MIT he also continued as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. At MIT he formulated and computationally implemented an efficient software tool to analyze the hydrodynamic interactions between floating bodies and ocean waves. His current research is focused on the EEG/MEG source localization problem.
